This year, IUI introduced a new track for submissions: the Open Science track. This new track aims to encourage open, transparent, and replicable research, and invites authors to submit mainstream studies as well as replication studies, negative results, open datasets, and reference implementations. Submissions are required to demonstrate that all the associated material is available openly and can be re-used by other researchers.
Submitted manuscripts are limited to 2500 words and should use the same paper template as the main track of IUI. In addition, submissions are expected to include and cite rich supplementary material in an appendix. There are no restrictions on the length or amount of associated materials, data, code, datasets, analysis scripts, documentation, artefacts, questionnaires, or any materials needed for replicating the study. Where appropriate, such material should be stored prior to submission in an online repository that supports the anonymous and persistent storage of such data (e.g. OSF).
The review criteria for the submissions are as follows.
The papers will be included in the IUI Companion Proceedings and will thus have a DOI and be citeable. All accepted submissions in the Open Science track will be invited to be presented as part of the poster session at the main conference, providing extra visibility and a chance to promote your contributions and/or artefacts to the IUI community.
